Description
Bryans Blood Rainbow-(Capsicum annuum)-The Bryans Blood Rainbow pepper was created by veteran and flower hybridizer (Breeder) Eric Knight. This is a cross between the Scarletts chile and the Ancho Poblano pepper. There are many selections that came from the original cross. This one is the Bryans Blood Rainbow pepper selection. It is named after the two growers that grew it out further to make selections. The growers that continued Eric’s work are Rich Blood and Bryan Townshend. As of 2024 it is going on it’s fifth generation. It has to be noted that Eric’s work had a goal in mind to make beautiful chiles that produced edible chiles but still had fantastic ornamental traits like variegation and multi colors. The Bryans Blood Rainbow peppers are about the size of a medium jalapeno. About 2 inches in length. They start out green with some light yellowish green stripes. Then transition to a rainbow of colored stripes. They don’t stay this way for long and within a few days with turn completely red. The heat level is average jalapeno but could vary based on growing conditions. The flavor is pleasant and fruity but not overly sweet. There is a great amount of variegation on the leaves. The Bryan Blood Rainbow chile plants can grow over 5 feet tall. 10+ Seeds
