Description
Pickles Blood Sport-(Capsicum annuum)-The Pickles Blood Sport pepper is a cross created by veteran and flower hybridizer (Breeder) Eric Knight. This is a cross of the Scarletts chile variegated type (alleged jalapeno X purple tiger) and Uchu Cream (variegated leaves with white chiles) which is an ornamental variety from Japan. The first generation F1 was grown and selected by grower Rich Blood of Georgia. Then Eric obtained the seeds of F2 and shared them with many others to grow and make selections. Later grower Bryan Townshend grew multiple years doing selections for F2 thru F5. My plants are the F5 generation from Bryans seeds. So, my seeds are F6 in 2024. The Pickles Blood Sport selection produces plants with high white variegated leaves and produce small chiles with multicolored stripes that eventually ripen to red. The chiles average 2 to 3 inches long and a quarter inch in width. The flavor is smoky fruity with good jalapeno heat level. The Pickles Blood Sport chile plants are considered a dwarf ornamental type with flavor and grow to an average height of 2 feet tall. 10+ Seeds
