Butterscotch Ghost Scorpion-(Capsicum chinense)-The Butterscotch Ghost Scorpion pepper is a selection from Peach Ghost Scorpions by Bryan Towshend of West Palm Beach, Florida. Over almost a period of 10 years (currently as of this writing it is 2025) Bryan selected the plants that gave the Butterscotch genotype. The Butterscotch Ghost Scorpion chiles resemble the crazy off shapes with some tails like the Jays Ghost Scorpion varieties. This pepper is not a hand pollinated deliberate cross. Instead, Bryan selects desired traits that appear year after year to maintain them. The peppers ripen from dark green to Butterscotch color. Very similar to Mustard types but, the peppers’ flesh remains firm while mustard types soften fast upon ripening. The heat level is well about Ghost peppers. The Butterscotch Ghost Scorpion chiles have some fruity but smokey flavored tones. The Butterscotch Ghost Scorpion chile plants grow 4 to 5 feet tall. 10+seeds
