Bengal Naga-(Capsicum chinense)-The Bengal Naga is an average sized Naga pepper named after the Bengal region of India. It has never been confirmed if Bengal is the actual origin of this chile. The Bengal Naga peppers ripen from green to orange red and get up to 3 inches in length. They taper to a point and have a pimply outer skin texture. The flavor is sweet with some floral tones but not as earthy like a Bhut Jolokia. The Bengal Naga chile plants grow over 4 feet tall and are very productive.
