Black Thai-(Capsicum annuum)-The Black Thai Pepper is a medium heat variety that does not have the intense upfront burn of other Thai chile types. The peppers are about 4 to 5 inches in length and a quarter inch in width. They ripen from green to an almost dark black color but if left on the plant will transition to a brilliant dark red. Can be grown as an ornamental in your garden but these also have a nice degree of peppery sweetness to them as well! They are ideal for stir fry or can be used to season meats, stews and soups. The Black Thai chile plants grow between 2 to 3 feet tall and are very productive.
