Description
Chilhuacle Amarillo Long-(Capsicum annuum)-The Chilhuacle Amarillo Long peppers are the elongated version from Oaxaca, Mexico. The others have a squash shape and only get a highlight of orange close to the stem. The Chilhuacle Amarillo long chiles grow to 6 inches in length and 1 inch wide and taper down to a point at the end. They ripen from green to bright orange. As they ripen to orange the flesh thins like the Chilhuacle Negro. So, they are mostly used dried to flavor mole sauces or dried then made into a paste to flavor other traditional Oaxacan dishes. The heat level is mild and the chile has citrus flavor tones. The Chilhuacle Amarillo chile plants grow over 6 feet tall and will require staking or support. 10+ Seeds
