Chocolate Reaper-(Capsicum chinense)-This is the Chocolate variant of the Carolina Reaper. It is close to the same heat level depending on growing conditions. The Chocolate Reapers have less tails on the pods. Over the years we have seen about 40% tails on Carolina Reapers. The percentage on these Chocolate Reapers is about 25% with tails. Still the peppers have that Reaper shape and skin texture. Also we got more pods per plant than the Red variety in 2016 growing. The flavor is fruity like the red original but not as sweet. The Chocolate Reaper chile plants grow close to 4 feet tall.
