Giant Jalapeno-(Capsicum annuum)-The Giant Jalapeno pepper comes to us from Peter Merle of Semillas La Palma. He was the largest chile seed company in the world until he closed in 2025. The Giant Jalapeno Pepper here is not a hybrid like other large commercially grown jalapeno types. They can get up to 3 inches long and almost 2 inches in circumference. They are unique in that the tip of the chile comes to a point instead of being slightly rounded. The heat level is average jalapeno, and flavor is a bit fruity once ripened to red. They can be eaten green and will have that classic tangy jalapeno flavor.
