Greek Pepperoncini-(Capsicum annuum)-This is the Greek pepper most commonly found pickled or in salad bars or sandwich shops. It has sweet tangy flavor with just a touch of chile heat. When completely ripe they turn red but the Greek Pepperoncini chile is best eaten while still green for best flavor. The Greek variety is also much sweeter than the Italian Pepperoncini that is grown in Tuscany, Italy. The Greek Pepperoncini chile plants grow between 3-4 feet tall and are very productive.
