Harbiye-(Capsicum annuum)- The Harbiye pepper is a rare chile from the village of Harbiye which is located in the Hatay province in Turkey. It is used in many Turkish dishes and heat ranges from mild to medium. It has a hint of sweetness and s often used as a pepper in Kabob dishes. The Harbiye chile peppers are about 2 inches long and taper to a point. They ripen from green to red. They are very productive. Other uses are making a chile paste or dried as a seasoning for meats. The Harbiye chile plants grow up to 3 feet tall.
