Isabela Island Habanero-(Capsicum chinense)-The Isabela Island Habanero pepper is a rare habanero type from the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. Isabela Island is the largest of the Galapagos Islands and is inhabited mostly by natives from Ecuador. The plants produce large habanero type peppers that are up to two inches in width and have small folds in the outer flesh. The Isabela Island Habanero chile ripens from green to dark red and has an above average habanero heat level. It has nice fruity tones with not too much sweetness.
