Wenks Yellow Hots-(Capsicum annuum)-This Wenks Yellow Hots pepper has Jalapeno bloodlines and was developed by the late farmer Eric Wenks of Albuquerque, New Mexico. These originated and were cultivated in the Southern valley of Albuquerque. Eric was one of the last Truck farmers from this region. Truck farmers sold their produce to Local markets but also would transport it over long distances to sell using their own trucks. The Wenks Yellow Hots will ripen from light yellow to orange and reds. They have a waxy appearance. The taste is tangy fruity and they produce very well. The fruits have a jalapeno like shape to them. Depending on growing conditions they have a burn above Jalapeno. The Wenks Yellow Hots chile plants grow 2 to 3 feet tall.
